STAGE 1 BUILD OVERVIEW
This Stage 1 diesel transmission is designed for customers who want increased
durability and reliability over a stock OEM rebuild while maintaining factory
drivability and smooth shift characteristics. It is ideal for daily driving,
towing, and lightly modified diesel trucks.
Stage 1 addresses common wear points in the 48RE and improves torque control
under load without introducing harsh shifting or performance-only components.
POWER & TORQUE RATING
This Stage 1 A618 / 48RE transmission is rated for
up to approximately 450–500 horsepower and
up to approximately 900–1,000 lb-ft of torque,
depending on vehicle configuration, engine tuning, and supporting components.
Designed for daily driving, towing, and lightly modified diesel trucks requiring
improved holding capacity and reliability over stock.
